With summer just around the corner, the Laurelhurst Beach Club is buzzing with excitement. Many changes are in store for the new season as well as return of annual traditions. New this year include massive renovations to our bathrooms, a water basketball hoop being installed on the north dock this week, an updated website, and a wonderful new staff that is excited to get summer started. Old favorites like the kids sleepover, movie nights, swim lessons, and a robust sailing program highlight the traditions that will return again this year.
Please peruse the new website for information about the club and its events and programs, and please use the FAQ page to ask me any questions directly or to make suggestions. Specifically, please let me know if you have any content you would like to see added to the website.
This Saturday is the annual opening day work party where all members are encouraged to come down for a few hours between 9am and noon and help ready the club for the summer season. This year my staff will be providing a hot dog lunch and otter pops for the volunteers who have come to help. Stationed around the club will be tables with information about the various events that the LBC provides, including but not limited to:
- sailing lessons
- swim lessons
- movie nights
- fattie fleet
- adult parties
Please stop by and say hello!
