Weekly Manager Report – 8/18/13

Looking forward to another great week of August weather.  The adult barbecue a lot of fun, despite the morning showers.  Thanks to all who made that day possible: the band, the bbq-ers, the staff, and the board.  I heard the other day that August is the Sunday of summer, and I have to agree.  The club historically gets a little less busy in September due to school being in session, so come down and enjoy these last few precious weeks of full on summer!

Ice Cream Card Expiration – Reminder that ice cream cards officially expire September 1.  So the last ice cream sold will be on September 1st or when we run out of inventory, whichever comes last.  Go redeem your cards for some delicious frozen treats.

Sailing T-Shirts – Sailing t-shirts are currently at the front desk.  If you or someone you know participated in the sailing camp, there is a t-shirt with their name on it at the front desk.  Stop by and grab one.
Swimming/Watercraft Hours – As the days get shorter, the water will begin closing for swimmers earlier.  Next week it will close at roughly 7:15.  This means that the last paddleboard or kayak will go out at 6:45.  These hours will decrease with each week so that the safety of the members and their children are held as the highest priority.

Rule Reminder of the Week:

Neighbor Respect – Please remember to respect the neighborhood as you enter and leave the club.  Here are a few reminders that will really make our most adjacent neighbors happy:

  • please don’t speed up or down the hill as children are everywhere
  • please pick up a piece trash as you walk into the club each day – my staff regularly cleans the cul de sac, but within a few days trash finds its way to the parking area.  Imagine who great the area would look if all the roughly 3000 members picked up a piece of trash each day!  We have even installed two garbage cans outside of the club (in the alley and at the bottom of the cul de sac for you to use).
  • please park in legal spots only, being especially mindful of the handicapped parking spot
  • smile and greet people walking to and from!
