Rule Reminder of the Week:
You’ll notice some new, red swimming area floats and ropes. These serve as markers for what areas children can swim, and it is important to respect these rules so that lifeguards can keep the water safe. Please remember that swimming areas are reserved for adults and children 12 and over. Here are a few helpful reminders:
3’s area (area with the log): Please do not bring children in this area if they have not passed their 3’s swim test. No exceptions.
1’s area (first swimming area): Please do not bring children into this area. Out of respect for the safety of the other patrons, if you are going to accompany a young child in this area, please hold on to your child at all times. On slow days, it is permissible to ask a guard for permission for an exception. But remember, when you are exhibiting behavior that appears risky, even if it is not risky in your eyes, it is still bringing extra attention away from the lifeguards’ job of scanning the entire swimming area. Please do not put other childrens’ lives at risk.
