Another week of great weather to enjoy the club. The kids sleepover was a success by all accounts, highlighted by a high energy impromptu dance party!
The bathrooms have for the most part been treated very well this week. This is in large part to the membership for helping to police its usage and educate the members.
This week there are no special events, but on the horizon is the Seafair Adult Party on Friday August 2nd at 6pm. Come early with your guest(s) so that you can enjoy all the festivities. This year will be $10 at the gate and we will be serving gourmet burgers (beef, chicken, garden). Our favorite band will be returning, The Action Slacks. The music will end promptly at 10pm this year, so come early to get the most out of the night.
You’ll notice that the life preservers all have whistles for increased safety when you’re out on the watercraft.
Next weekend is the last weekend without football, and this makes me very happy! Go Seahawks!

Rule Reminder of the Week:
Garbage, Food/Yard, Recycle
Most people would agree that an area of improvement would be correctly sorting garbage, recycling, and food/yard. You all have done an amazing job educating your families, children, guests, and other members about respecting the bathrooms. This week, perhaps have a discussion about sorting what we toss away in a receptacle. The signs above the garbage clearly mark what should be thrown where, but it still requires educating in order to do the job correctly. Here’s the test I do:
1) Recycling (BLUE): Clean paper, plastic, aluminum
2) Food/Yard (GREEN): dirty paper products or food
3) Garbage (BLACK): only as a last resort!
It gets more specific than that, but that the order I check each time. Also, remember that all plates, cups, bowls, and utensils you get at the LBC are compostable.
