Our staff has already begun working on creating fun games and activities for everyone to do. Please note that the beach club will be closed starting at 4pm for everyone not spending the night. Also note that all children must be picked up by 7am on Saturday morning. If your child is interested in participating, please complete and submit this form: Kids Sleepover Waiver
Code of Respect
Some of you may have noticed a few new signs around illustrating the LBC Code of Respect. As you are aware, the LBC rules refer to things like no running on the dock, no pets, no smoking, etc. They are black and while and need to be supported by the membership. The LBC Code of Respect is more in line with guidelines and concepts that make our club work better in how we treat and cohabitant with one another. While they are not steadfast rules, they are examples of simple respect to our staff, our members, our guests, to the name and facility, and to ourselves. The LBC is a special place for many and we want everyone’s experience to be memorable for the years to come.
SUP Lessons
Are you interested in learning how to use the stand-up paddleboards? Member Lynda Firey-Oldroyd will be volunteering her time on Sundays at 9:30am to coach people on the basics like how and where to stand on the board, how to adjust the paddle to the right height, how to paddle, and more. Please come join her Sunday mornings if you would like.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found has already accumulated a large amount of clothing, shoes, towels, etc. If you have misplaced something at the beach club this summer, please come down and check the lost and found by Friday. We will be donating all unclaimed items to charity on Saturday morning.
CPR Classes
CPR training will be offered at the beach club this summer. Phillip Bransford is an American Heart Association instructor with many years of experience. He was a reserve firefighter/EMT with the Kirkland Fire Department for 25 years. Classes are limited to 16 people and the cost is $25, which should be paid in advance. Checks can be made out to Sound CPR Training. The class is for those 12 years of age and up. The class will be an AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED class. At the conclusion of the class, students will receive an AHA CPR card that is good for two years. Classes will be held at 7pm on July 13th and 20th, August 3rd and 17th, and September 1st.
Outdoor Fitness Group
Member Heather Griffith will be offering outdoor fitness classes early mornings at the beach club. Her first class will meet tomorrow morning at 6am outside of the beach club. If you are interested, please contact her directly or come down in the morning and sign up in person. (206) 778-4854 or hogriffith@comcast.net
Junior Fleet
It’s been a great first month for the LBC Junior Fleet!  The new lap boards are up with the tallies from June lap swimmers and we already have 5 kids who have hit their lap goals and will be receiving their towels.  If your kids have not had a chance to jump in, they still have through the month of July to hit their lap goals!
Junior Fleet Events:
July 31st: Last day to hit lap goals
August (Date is being finalized): End of season celebration including awarding of the prized Junior Fleet Towels and Awards!
Can my kids still Sign-up?
Absolutely!  Kids can sign-up through the 31st of this month to swim their laps.  It’s simple – just walk up to the Guard Shack and ask them to sign you up.
How do the Wrist Bands work?
Each Junior Fleet Member receives a Rainbow wrist band when they join the fleet.  It’s a fun way to look for friends that may be interested in swimming laps together! Bands are handed out at the Guard Shack. Following are the bands that are awarded by laps:
Purple: 15 Laps
Green: 25 Laps
Red: 50 Laps
Blue: 75 Laps
Rainbow: All Junior Fleet members will receive a Rainbow wristband when they sign-up!
